The SURFboard G20 is a DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem combined with a Wi-Fi 6 router, specifically designed for use with cable internet providers such as Comcast Xfinity, Cox, and Spectrum. For fiber-to-the-home or Ethernet-delivered service, the G20 can be reconfigured to function solely as a Wi-Fi router by disabling its integrated cable modem. Since the G20’s Ethernet port only supports up to 1 Gbps, your Fiber Internet speed will be limited to that maximum.
