There is a 1gig and 2.5gig on the back of the device, As the modem operates in bridge mode whatever is connected to the ethernet jack will be registered as the device-on-record by your Internet Service Provider. Arris documentation recommends using the 2.5 GE port as primary and notes your service provider may not support activation of the second Ethernet port or may require an additional fee for use. Contact your service provider for more information.
