Is it compatible with google mesh routers? null

Yes. I have the more recent google router with 2 wifi points and it works perfectly.

Works wonderfully with my Orbi mesh network, so I’d assume, yes, it should also work with the Google mesh network

Yes, it is. It will only push out the speeds advertised via the google mesh system you use. (Nest or 1st gen Google wifi). But if you use direct Ethernet devices you will see the difference.
