“I have an Arris SURFboard wireless router and just purchased and Arlo Pro Security system that requires me to plug into the Arris. Problem is my CPI Security system is plugged into it the Arris -there is only one Ethernet female plug in. Any solutions?”

You can get a ethernet switch to expand your ethernet ports

Please try again later.You might be able to use an Ethernet switch port, BestBuy carries them but look into it first, if your security system requires a phone line you’ll need a different modem with a telephone port, if the security system is internet based then a switch port may work. Again look into it first but that may be the solution to your problem. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You need a router or a switch. This is just a modem. If I were solving your problem, I would recommend you get this router: WRT3200ACM Your modem plugs into the router. The router would give you wifi (2.4 and 5ghz) and 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports.
