“I only have "economy" hi-speed internet with Comcast. I believe 25 mbps tier. Is this modem overkill or will it be fine running lower tier bandwidth? I am looking for the 32x8 upgrade over my current 16x4 and I want to avoid the Puma chipset.”

This modem is backward compatible with lower speed service tiers. By using this device, you will be future-proof just in case if you decide to upgrade the service tier in future

This one also allows for two WiFi routers which is convenient when you have multiple family members milking your internet. Installation was simple. Overall very satisfied with purchase
