“My question is, If it's a 3.1Gb modem but 2Gb ethernet using 1Gb ethernet port how can you get more than 1Gb? Those were all the stats listed in the product. This seems like bs marketing.”

It is a 3.1 Docsys modem. 1GB ethernet port can only put out 1GB. 5g phone can pull more than 1gb
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Because it’s not 3.1 gig. It’s DOCSIS 3.1 standard. Which means theoretically it can process up to 10gbps download and 1 gig upload. 3.1 isn’t the published speed it’s the DOCSIS standard.
