The Arris - SURFboard 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem does not support cable telephone service. It is strictly a network device. It does not have a telephony connection.

no. I just canceled my landline when I purchased this modem. Didn't need it, anyway. Modem works great using a netgear wireless router.

No it's not. You could save money though by buying Ooma at Best Buy over what Comcast charges for phones and you can port your current number for a small fee.

That I don’t know, the reason I bought it cause Comcast sent an email saying that the one I currently have won’t support the speed I’m paying for, Tnx.

No. Comcast provides a list of supported modems for voice on their site. This one is data only.
