I did connect an external drive to mine and it worked fine.

So answer is a definite MAYBE. 2. Unit has Bluetooth, fine for keyboard, mouse, Headphones. 3. Unit has both USB C and Hi speed USB A connection. Also, an open M.2 slot inside.
