Perfect for students
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loved this computer. Im a college student I have and ipad already and i can do a lot of my school work on there but there are some websites that don’t work probably on an ipad so i bought this computer for that reason. I got it went it was $109 so i took the opportunity and I recommend this to students. Perfect for kids as well. Im saving up for a better computer but for now this one is perfect. And the battery life is amazing! Super portable and works pretty fast for a computer this cheap. As long as your not opening a lot of windows at once and use it only for research purposes its going to work just fine. I also recommend you don't download anything so it lasts you longer and can continue being a fast little computer.

Amazing basic computer
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer is amazing if you keep in mind what it is: It is, in every sense of the word, a budget computer. It can regularly be bought on sale for about $100 and for that price it's absolutely worth it. You're not getting a powerhouse by any means, but it is surprisingly capable and handles any light duty tasks very well. I got this for online classes since I really just needed something to access the internet with. It comes preinstalled with S mode active, but you can easily remove S mode and have normal Windows. Once that's done, it's a competent enough machine. Edge has been improved so much for Windows that I didn't even bother to install Chrome; I just transferred all my data over from it. The full-size HDMI port is nice, and this computer can even output at 4K without any issues. The USB-C doesn't support video out on its own but with HDMI that hasn't been an issue for me. Everything else about the build is overall really good for how cheap this can be purchased. The laptop looks good and everything fits together seamlessly. Battery life for such a small air-cooled laptop is phenomenal and lasts several days of work and movies. It really rarely needs charged. The keyboard is adequate enough for typing on, and the trackpad works well also. One thing I'm not a huge fan of is the numpad on it. It words well if you want to use it, but it's easy to accidentally turn on and have accidental numbers input while scrolling on a document. I've had it happen several times and it's a nuisance but not deal breaking. The biggest down-side to me personally is the screen. Being a TN LCD it has relatively poor viewing angles and slightly off color. Given the low cost of the laptop there obviously had to be some cost-savings measures thrown somewhere, and the screen is it. But looking past that, the screen size makes this laptop very portable which is exactly what I wanted so I can look past that. It's still good for watching videos and web browsing, you just need to have it tilted at the ideal angle for it to look the best. I connect it to a monitor most of the time anyways so the screen really only gets used in class. One extra benefit not mentioned is that is does have M.2 SSD slot under the cover, which strangely isn't advertised. I haven't added one yet, but having the ability to eventually is very nice. Sadly, the RAM is not able to be added onto. It has enough for basic tasks though. Overall, a very good laptop for anyone who needs to do the basics. Wait for it to go on sale and you're getting a very portable laptop for a great price. Just be aware it is a budget machine going into it.

Happy Customer
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I bought this laptop I caught on sale and didnt knownthatbitnwas actually a very good brand. I used it more 2 or 3 months and was having difficulties downloading the game bar app. I called my son to help. He was very impressed to see what I had. Ive absolutely not had any problems with the device other than i personally need more storage. But the graphics card is great, I had the option of Windows 10 S, Windows 11 Home or Pro and still have those options if and when I chose to. The laptop is super light weight and easy to pack and transport. The only feature it has that is sometimes bothersome is the keypad. My fingers brush it and turns on when it isn't wanted. People sometimes think others are crazy when they buy things and can't complain about it. Well I am super happy that nothing anout my laptop is wrong. I love it and when tome for a new one I am absolutely sticking with the brand.

Good for the price, upgradable
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price $109 at the time of purchase, this is a good deal. At a glance, the laptop seemed badly underpowered. It has a dual-core Celeron processor, 4GB of ram and only 64GB of internal storage. The first and most positive thing I will say about this laptop is that if you remove the cover on the bottom there is a slot for an NVMe hidden there. That's right this super-value laptop has an NVMe slot hidden just under the backplate. I quickly inserted a cheap NVMe I bought, deleted the 64GB partition and re-installed Windows 11 on a 512GB NVMe. At least after I signed on once and registered it to my account so I wouldn't have to buy Windows 11 again. After re-installing Windows 11 on the NVMe I went into settings and increased the page file to 12 GB. This gave me 12gb of relatively fast virtual ram I could use on top of the 4GB integrated into the laptop making 16GB total. Not as good as really having 16GB of ram but using an NVMe as virtual memory it's pretty close. I would say this raised the machine's performance from "barely usable" to "decent". Yeah, it's not going to magically make this a high-end laptop. But it sure helps make browsing and doing tasks on it a lot more smooth. Plus it gives you some actual storage to work with.

Best Bang For Your Buck at $109.00!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an amazing little laptop for the money. I of course bought it when it was on sale for $109.99 back in February. The nice thing about this laptop that is not mentioned in the description is there is a spot to install an internal nvme m.2 SSD. I actually set the laptop up where it will boot off of the SSD instead of the onboard eMMc storage, which actually speeds up the computer. I now use the eMMc storage as an extra storage drive now since I removed the boot partition from it. The laptop will still lag at times considering it has an Intel Celeron processor and 4 gigs of RAM, but for the money, it is a solid laptop. Perfect for someone who does casual computing and casual gaming. It won't run Fortnite or Call of Duty MW2, but it is good for very light games being a basic laptop. Best bang for the buck if you can get it for $100.00.

REAL IT MANAGER REVIEW PLZ READ
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m just going to set this straight. I’m a total tech nerd. I work for a top name brand named after a fruit, one a day will keep the doctor away, but if you bought one a day you’d have to be a billionaire. Okay I’m sure you know who I work for now. Just because I work for a company that makes another (superior) operating system doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate the value of a windows PC, this little Asus is impressive! Having 17 year’s experience coding software and fixing products for customers and management alike, I know build quality when I see it, I also am quick to see where the cost cutting is. Asus offers this little 11.6” for $118 with tax or you could opt for HPs option however Asus knows what us nerds like and want and delivered, where HP didn’t deliver! Behind the back cover is a little welcomed SSD port that’s able to take a M.2 pcle nvme ssd up to 512gb SSD, it DOES come with your basic flash drive installed with 64gb but after you opt for windows 11 home out of S mode you’re left with a mere 20gb of storage. I suggest you add some ssd even 128gb is sufficient for this little trooper of a laptop. Surprisingly this little 4gb RAM handles tasks rather quickly, it isn’t noticeably slower than other laptops of this budget level. It’s actually quicker. Now the cost cutting; It’s plastic but decently done, it’s a good laptop, it’s basic but the finish is superbly done. The display is absolutely bare standards of todays computers. It’s very noticeable that it is barely an HD screen, it reminds me of the first Windows Starter netbooks like the old Asus eEPCs. The battery is sufficient but depending on your settings it’s really a toss up. Sound quality is subpar but doesn’t matter. The webcam is best left off. I recommend this to any budget oriented students. It’s a huge plus! Basic laptop for basic use and that’s all. You paid less than $120 for this how do you expect to run a game? Awesome job Asus Never doubted you! Asus is hands down underrated and deserves the credit and customer loyalty it deserves they’re easily second place to my jobs products!

Q: Questionmy external screen flickers, HDMI cable and monitor have no flicker problems with other laptops. is this a motherboard problem? Graphic_IGCC_DCH_Intel_Z_V30.0.100.9864Sub1_24275.exe won't install in smode,

- A:Answer I do not see any flickering while connecting my laptop to a Hisense tv using a HDMI cable. Having worked 25 years with the cable company I have experienced people having this problem and found it to be a problem with the hdmi cable even though the cable worked fine with other devices.
