WINDOWS activation process is automatic, after the initial WINDOWS setup completed and the laptop connected to the internet, since the SLC(Software License Code) is embedded in the BIOS. Entering a product key manually is not required, authentication or activation process is automatic, as mentioned. If this was previously owned, Windows needs to be restored to factory settings.
