So I ended up purchasing this computer and I got the Bamboo Ink Stylus as well, just to see if it would work. I tried to install the Bamboo software to link the pen, and it said it was not compatible with this laptop. However, it does allow me to write on the screen with the pen, but I don’t think I have access to the full capability of the pen. What I can do is write on the screen most of the time, and in tablet mode it will even pull up a writing bar instead of the touchscreen keyboard if I am using the stylus. It also allows me to erase by holding down one of the buttons, so the stylus was not a complete waste and I am going to keep using it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've been back and forth with asus after having owned this laptop for a month now. I've tried two different active pens: the surface pen and the bamboo ink. They both work; however, when you want to draw lines slowly, there will always be this wavy line even if you take a straight edge to it. Asus doesen't know anything about active pens. Look elsewhere if you're buying this solely for drawing/ note taking.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not sure about the Bamboo Ink model. I have tried using my the lenovo active pen 2 on this computer without success. It does not work. Maybe with additional softwares, but I doubt I could install Lenovo software in this computer. Windows simply does not recognize my lenovo pen.
