“I need an additional power cord. I looked on Asus' website and can't see to find an extra one to buy. Does anyone have recommendations or able to find one?”

Yes I had the same conundrum. I ended up getting this one on the recommendation someone here: https://store.asus.com/us/item/201606AM020000001/ASUS-120W-Notebook-Power-Adapter-for-selected-N501%2FG501%2FUX501-Series-notebook This adapter is actually different from the one I got with the unit. The one I got with the unit is 20v/6a. This adapter that I just purchased is 19v/6.32a. Good news: It seems to work just fine.

Mine only runs hot when I am gaming. I bought a laptop fan and it helps a lot. They are inexpensive.
