I did a research on a similar model, but did not take mine apart to be 100% sure. It has only one slot with 4GB of RAM. So single channel. So if you are planning to upgrade you'd have the module probably wasted. The limitation of 8GB is probably forced by the chipset (I am not sure if the memory controller is built in the processor or not, but it doesn't matter). Also it's pretty hard to get to the memory module. It's not accessible through a separate bay at the bottom like in most laptops. It's located at the bottom of the motherboard. To get there you'd need to take the keyboard along with the top panel off. Then take the motherboard off. It's much easier to replace a hard drive with an ssd. It's located at the top of the motherboard right underneath the keyboard. And, for most tasks getting an ssd instead of an hdd will have a greater effect on speed than more ram.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.1 slot...supports up to an 8GB DDR3 SDRAM module.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are two slots, one has one 4 gig chip in it. Replacing the ram is more challenging than other laptops because you have to actually remove the whole bottom.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This product has two RAM slots.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is only one memory slot and it is occupied by the 4GB module. You would have to buy an 8GB stick and replace the 4GB stick to get a total of 8GB. The memory is not easily accessible. Much disassembly required.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is only one and it is occupied by the 4GB module. There is not an access door. You must embark on considerable disassembly to replace/upgrade the module. If you want 8GB, for example, you must purchase an 8GB stick.
