I bought a couple for web browsing at conferences, where there is a high likelihood that they will be lost, stolen, or broken. I would recommend something better for an everyday computer. It would do all you ask, but it would be tedious, and it is not the best build quality I have seen (it is not the worst either, but pretty close.) Do not forget that you would need to pay for MS Office or download a freeware office suite like LibreOffice. I would recommend something with an i3 or i5 fifth or sixth generation processor if you plan on using it for a while. Try something with similar specs to the one I "recommended" with this answer. If you can afford another $50 an i5 would be a better value in my opinion, once you take your own time and sanity into consideration..
