Will this laptop be good for college null

It would be ok. It's a cheap laptop, but gets the job done. You would have to buy Microsoft Office to write any papers

This would be perfect for someone to use for school. I bought it for my niece for that very purpose. She doesn't start until fall but it was a good deal that I bought it. As long as as the person is not a graphic artist or something that needs more graphic intense projects. For writing papers, note taking, watching movies or streaming it's great. It's also really light at 4lbs. The 1TB is a plus for movies, music, & papers.

If you are just doing web browsing or using it to write and print out essays than yes. If you are doing video editing or 3d modeling or rendering things than no.

Depends on what you need. Will run Office just fine and no problem with any browser I have found. If you are doing rendering or high level graphic processing, this is not likely the best laptop.
