- Answer It doesnt have a SSD harddrive, but i havent had too many issues with speed in opening programs the past couple weeks ive been using it. A stupid feature in it is that the poweroff button is located right next to the increase volume button, and typically where our hands are. so i keep turning the screen off and thats annoying as heck. other than that, yeah, i would say its good for college
