The adapter is a generic USB-C adapter that Asus includes with its USB-C laptops. The adapter can be used to charge your laptop if the laptop supports it, but this laptop does not support charging over USB-C. I think they just include the adapter with all their laptops, instead of making one specifically for this laptop.
