||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After less than 6 months! I lost internet connection and repair has taken 4 weeks after spending over $300 in protect/repair coverage. All I have gotten is a ton load of apologies but NOTHING in compensation for my inconvenience. I dropped it off only to get it back and told to buy a device and I had coverage. It was sent away only to get it back in 2 weeks with it locked and was told to talk it back to the store. I had to leave it again.

Impressed by ASUS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've gone through a few laptops throughout my academic career and have a tendency to upgrade every several years to keep up with newer technology. Frankly, I never thought I would like the touchscreen aspect of it but have found it to be quite nice. It replaces a reader tablet and overpowers my current laptop with RAM. My only qualm is with the lack of at least 1 usb 3.1 port, the low memory (which can be supplemented with an external harddrive), and the charging port not being a usb c. Otherwise the price for what is being provided is solid and worth it. I do a ton of research before large purchases like this and it couldn't be beat by another 2 in 1 for the components. Including a stylus, usb hub, and facial recognition out of the box in place of a fingerprint scanner was a good touch though. It is also beautifully crafted and quick.

solid performer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Asus 2-in-1 laptop is pretty much a zenbook in aesthetics. It is very light, portable, yet powerful enough to complete many tasks. The I7 processor has Turbo Boost frequency of up to 4.6 GHz, paired with the 16GB of DDR3 ram impresses with the quick responsiveness, and execution of apps and software. The 256gb SS size can be the main drawback for people who require more hard drive storage, but I prefer a low storage SSD on my laptop than a high storage HDD anyday. The touchscreen is very responsive, and the windows hello feature works like a charm. My only complaints would be that the laptop only has 3 usb-c ports and not have the common USB 2-3.0 port unless you use the included adapter that offers hdmi, and usb 3.0 ports. The 2-in-1 feature is a neat addition for those people that want a tablet design without the trade-off of low performing hardware. The on-board graphics chip can hold its own when viewing videos, editing basic/normal Photoshop editing. The battery life is good enough for over 10 hours of work.

||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm switching to this laptop from a Lenovo Yoga 720 13 inch laptop that this laptop is replacing. At the time of purchase, the price for the laptop was $769.99 after a student coupon which I think was a steal I'm really enjoying my experience with this laptop so far. I love the design and the feel of typing on the keyboard and using the track pad. For me, the 13 inch size is perfect - anything bigger starts to feel cumbersome and heavy. The keyboard feels great to type on, even as a taller woman with longer fingers. At no point while typing have my fingers or hands felt cramped, nor have I noticed any awkward layout of the keys At around 2.9 lbs, it's very lightweight but the build feels very solid and sturdy. My Lenovo Yoga was the same weight but didn't have the same level of build quality on the casing and keyboard. My only complaint here is the laptop's lid being a fingerprint magnet, but I will gladly deal with that "con" given how sturdy everything feels The screen is fantastic and has very minimal bezels that aren't really noticeable during use. This is another area where the Asus beats the Yoga - my Yoga laptop had a 1"+ bezel below the screen that I always disliked Windows Hello is very cool - you can register your face with the laptop's IR sensors located near the webcam so that you and your family members can instantly log in using facial recognition to bypass the need for a PIN or password when logging into your Windows account. I really enjoy this feature, though it only seems to work about 80% of the time. When that happens it's not a big deal as you can just log in with your PIN or password instead. If I had to choose, I would prefer this laptop came with a fingerprint reader instead of using facial recognition The webcam isn't the best quality and is probably my biggest gripe with the laptop. In my search for a new laptop, I saw a few other laptops with great webcams that were higher quality and this one is fairly lacking. However, I don't use my webcam for much so this isn't a big deal to me. If you're someone who plans to record YouTube quality video or makes frequent video calls, you may want to consider a different laptop The battery life so far is great, though it's too early to see how long it will last after a year or two of ownership. The battery gauge seems to show the battery will last between 6 and 11 hours depending on what I'm doing I've yet to see the laptop hit any sort of hitch in terms of performance, even during the Windows update process or while using a third party backup program that is very CPU intense to create a backup image of the OS. It's very fast thanks to the top of the line processor I have noticed a small amount of heat coming from the laptop, though that only happened twice: once during the initial set up and updating the laptop, and the other time while I was using Macrium to create a backup image. When this happens the fan kicks on to help with cooling, but it's not noticeably loud and doesn't stay on for long The speakers on the laptop are better than what I'm used to and get quite loud. At 50% volume, they're loud enough for me that any louder starts to be uncomfortably loud in a quiet room. Keep in mind that I'm not any kind of sound snob and I'm easily impressed when it comes to speakers I've tried the pen that is bundled with the laptop and it works well. I don't have much use for it currently but I may get some use out of it when returning to school in the coming months. If you're using it for the first time, you will need to untwist the top of the pen off to gain access to the battery and remove a small piece of paper in order to start using it The laptop is also bundled with an adapter that allows you to connect HDMI, USB type A and USB type C to one of the laptop's USB C ports which is great since most devices still use USB type A these days. If you're using more than one USB type A device at a time, you will need additional adapters so keep that in mind! In terms of software, the laptop came with no real bloatware other than something called "Asus Giftbox" which wouldn't even launch and was super easy to uninstall. Everything else is software I'd consider desirable to have on the laptop, like a warranty app and an app to check for updates to the laptop's drivers. There were no driver updates as of 7/26/19 Overall I really love this laptop. The only downsides I've run into so far are the webcam quality and fingerprints being fairly visible on the case. If I run into any other problems with the laptop, I will update this review. I'm very satisfied with my purchase thus far, especially in regards to value. This was the only laptop in this price range that came with an i7 processor, 256GB SSD and 16GB of RAM, and it doesn't feel like I sacrificed anything for the price I'd rate this laptop 4.5 stars out of 5 with only the webcam keeping it from 5 stars

ASUS Quality-built pumped into this tiny laptop.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I took a chance on this one. I needed 16GB Ram (gamer, advanced excel, website creation) and other key features but up front, she is beautiful! Lightweight, 2 in 1, camera, EZ to set up and just one helluva great purchase. She runs like a thoroughbred at the race track. FYI, I purchased Alienware desktop with all the fancy accessories and it is GORGEOUS...and I put Asus Q326FA in the same category. Hope this helps anyone looking for top-of-the-line without buying over-priced junk.

Nice Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this laptop exclusively for capturing images and processing them. The computer is fast and have no issues with it taking time when working with the software. Only issue is all the usb port are type c, which has meant having to buy an additional add on to handle more than one type A. it comes with one adapter but only one type A and an HDMI, I needed more. Other than that it's been a good solid purchase and much cheaper than other models.

Q: QuestionCan this laptop be charged over the USB-C ports? I'd like to be able to plug it in to a docking station with only one USB-C cable.
Asked by MichaelA.
- A:Answer No, you cannot. The USB-C ports are only for data transfer, adding more ports, and display-out. The USB-C ports do not have USB-C Power Delivery on them.

Q: QuestionIf I'm on the fence between this and the lenovo yoga c930 which is better? My main concerns are battery life, overheating, and the fan noise. I've read some bad reviews on the yoga but a lot of good ones too so I'm conflicted.
Asked by uncertain.
- A:Answer I just bought the q326fa. Pros over lenovo: Nicer bezels, face recognition (if you like that), back lit keyboard, better specs, I prefer Asus keyboard. Also comes with the adapter for hdmi usba, lighter (weight) and more compact. Pros for lenovo over asus: Docking station for the stylus, thunderbolt 3 usb c ports, and it claims hd webcam... bigger screen, My experience with Asus: $899.99 last week during the sale Making my decision for me and I love Asus laptops and their keyboards The laptop has a more glossy display but I think the colors and picture are fantastic. Webcam is ehhhh, kind of laggy, the ir face recognition works quite well, snappy and the touch screen works well, touchpad works well for me, but you can adjust it. I had to update a couple drivers after the Windows 10 1809 update. Speakers sound fantastic, I haven't tested the Bluetooth yet. And there isn't too much bloatware from asus that you can't get rid of. The fan is quiet in my opinion and only kicked in when doing all the updates after first turning on the laptop. Since it rarely comes on. Battery life was about 10 hours for me the first time. Now for this performance and thermals I was only browsing and watching videos. I'm disappointed that my left hinge creaks like quiet candy wrapper at times and my keyboard "p" key is a little janky. The build materials are nice, but Dell beats them in my opinion. The Asus is little more style, less tanky. I know a buddy is selling the yoga930 or their older 2-1 I think and he doesn't like it. Personally I prefer Asus especially woth the price I got. Also I'd prefer xps 13 2-1 over the lenovo if you can get a discount and buy an external hd webcam. Let me know if you have any other specific questions, hope this helps

Q: QuestionDoes this laptop come with a stylus?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Based on the Best Buy product page they have bundled this notebook with a stylus.

Q: QuestionMy laptop creaks by the left hinge and makes a creak when I lightly press down on the top part near the hinges. Is this normal?? I dont remember it doing this when I tried it out in the store.
Asked by Chris.
- A:Answer I do understand your concern regarding the creaks on the left hinge. Since the product is brand-new and the hinges were not used yet, you may hear creaks, which is normal. Once these hinges are moved more often the creaking sound will go away eventually. Should you need further assistance with the product, please email me at cl-rodel@asus.com and I would be more than happy to help.

Q: QuestionDoes it really have a fingerprint reader? I see it in the description but not in the technical specs.
Asked by lucas.
- A:Answer This model does not have a fingerprint reader. There must have been a mix-up with the description on this model. The computer does use Windows 10; Windows Hello feature which scans your face with the camera to unlock the sign-in screen.

Asked by Sarbottam.
