I've been surprised at the heat it can generate on occasion. Biggest problem I'm concerned with is that after just 4 months, the fan is making noise, like a bearing may be going out. Spent a few minutes with Asus support and they suggested a hard reset, which doesn't sound logical. In the process of backing up everything for fear that I'll be making a warranty claim.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does run hot and I was concerned about this before purchasing but what I've found after a week, is that it's only when charging which I think is because of the fast charging capabilities. I personally am using this for multiple VM's on the go and when not charging it's not hot. I went with this laptop over others because of the side vent rather than bottom so it can sit on a couch or bed. Overall awesome laptop and especially on sale right now!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have owned the ASUS Q325 with 8th Gen i7 for less than a month so my experience is limited to a few weeks. This unit does not run hot during normal day-to-day use and the battery is good for 8-10 hours. When I first set up the unit, it had to update windows and other software and it did get quite warm on the lower left side of the bottom. Ever since; however, this beautiful ultrabook has been running cool and is a joy to use. Highly recommend for those who value lightweight, thin form factor, touchscreen, and latest quad-core performance. One other note you may be interested in: the fan is not loud and does not come on very often. If you have the budget, I believe you will truly enjoy this laptop -- be sure to get the 8th generation i7 model which brings quad-core processing to this top notch ultrabook.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Gets hot all the time! I wonder if that is why it is so slow and the battery life is so short... can't get more than 5 hours out of it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it gets hot on the bottom. It’s so hot I don’t want to hold it on my lap and that’s from day1.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. I only had the tablet less than a month. I have never had it run hot or even warm for that matter.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Runs warm, but we haven’t used it that much or for more than 30 minutes at a time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes! It is the only thing I don’t like about it.
