“This is my second one. Thought the first was defective battery. Can anyone attest to the “battery remaining” to be accurate? Because mine currently says: 96% and 2 hours and 50 minutes remaining. I had the last one about 8 days. This one for a day”

No, the battery remaining feature for me has never been accurate on any windows device I have used. My ASUS Q325UA is always too short, but I would recommend using the battery saver mode when you don't need a lot of performance.

I will say that when it is at 100 percent or whatever, you'll notice that it shows an "expected" batter life percentage. However if placed on batter saver the time remaining changes. BUT if you do not allow for the bar to hide it will show the original time before placed on batter saver mode.
