Can an SSD be added to run dual drives? null

There's only room for one drive in this. You can replace the old drive with a SSD. It's the first thing I did after I bought it. It made all the difference.

You only have space for one hard drive at a time. You can swap it out for an ssd but it doesn't support m.2. I switched mine out for a 256 gb ssd and now its very fast. You won't be disappointed.
