Q: QuestionI just bought my laptop and installed a wireless mouse. Since then I can not use my touch pad mouse. My son's laptop which is cheaper allows me to use the wireless mouse and touch pad mouse interchangeably.

• A:Answer Same thing happened to me. You need to go to Asus' website to download and install the TouchPad driver. That should fix your problem.

• A:Answer ASUS's master password repeats on a 10 year cycle. I have not tried this on a laptop this new, but you could try going and finding a list of ASUS master bios passwords, and using the password from the date you are attempting to unlock, 10 years ago. - Computer tech for 4 years, have done this exact process on multiple other ASUS laptops before

• A:Answer Usually, you will do the following to resolve the issue. Try to do a power cycle a couple of times. Shut it down completely, wait for at least 10 seconds then power on. Please wait, if the system is applying updates in the System Registry, it will black screen temporarily. If it still black screen after a few minutes, at least 10 minutes, please repeat the power cycle process again. Please verify if the AC adapter was properly connected from the laptop to a working surge protector or AC outlet and the power button is being pressed all the way down to trigger a power on signal. Also, please try to disconnect the power cable and let the unit drain for 24 hours to clear the memory and reset the hardware to default settings. After doing this, please reconnect your AC adapter then power on the unit. If you need further assistance, please email me at [email protected] and I will be more than happy to help.

• A:Answer The laptop is so quiet, you don't even know it is on. During long Windows updates, you sometimes have to look at the power light on the side to even know it is running the upgrade, which could explain why some people had trouble with updates.
