The quad core in the Zenbook is much better than this dual core. I do notice it is not as fast as my high end quad core CPU laptop which is to be expected. I would say if you do not need the tablet function of this model then the Zenbook is a much better machine. I got this one since I was looking for the best tablet I could get as I use this to play movies and games in bed in tent or tablet mode.

Since I have a quad core i7 laptop, too, I use my quad core i7 for video editing tasks. One great advantage to this machine is that the battery life is excellent compared to a quad core i7 laptop.
