A:Answer I am answering my own question for those wondering about this model. The only difference/improvement vs the identical model now on sale & being discontinued is the processor. This has the 7th gen i7, vs 6th gen. Still dual core. 2.7 ghz vs 2.5. With turbo 3.5 ghz vs 3.1. I was told by a friend of mine with computer tech knowledge, as well as the Best Buy rep, that this updated & slightly improved processor is not easily noticeable now or in the short term future, especially if just web surfing & doing basic video. The BB rep did mention several years down the road is when the difference may be more of a benefit. But still a subtle one since the 6th gen is still a very good i7 & the rest of the computer specs that have not changed (i.e. 16 gb of ram & the ssd) will still perform very well. Since I was in the exchange window I ended up getting this updated model. I did pay full price so $100 more than the discounted one I returned. For me it is worth it, even if it's just peace of mind knowing I have the best version of this computer & very current 7th gen processor.
