It will connect to both 2.4ghz and 5ghz. According to Forbes.com "...chipsets featuring 802.11ac are fully backwards compatible with previous WiFi standards. This means it works perfectly with 802.11a (introduced in 1999), 802.11b (2000), 802.11g (2003) and 802.11n (2007). The bad news is you will be limited to the performance of the older standard and will only get the full benefits of ‘Wireless AC’ or ‘AC WiFi’, as it is also known, if you are connecting from 802.11ac to 802.11ac. That means an 802.11ac router and an 802.11ac device."
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am using mine on a 2.4 GHZ hotspot right now. Yes it is compatible.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, works fine
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Compatible and works with older N and 2.4 ghz. Actually 5 ghz signals are usually weaker unless close by with no doors/walls in way. I connect to 2 different routers that way and both work fine Recommend buying a USB to RJ45 converter (see Amazon ~$20 or BB) to use wired connection if handy; it is faster/more robust. Must use the powered USB socket on right side rear of laptop.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is from specifications section of listed PC: "Next-generation wireless connectivity Connects to your network or hotspots on all current Wi-Fi standards. Connect to a Wireless-AC router for speed nearly 3x faster than Wireless-N."
