- Answer Once you purchase this laptop, you should be able to mail it to where ever you want, subject to export restrictions. I don't think there are any for France, so you should be fine.

QuestionDoes Asus make & sell a separate battery replacement? Or will they? I am interested in making this a long term laptop since the RAM & storage specs seem future proof (for the next 5 yrs or so). Battery will prob die before I'd want a new laptop.

- Answer No, there is no replacement battery that I know of. They made it kind of like a Mac. There are screws on the bottom so I'm sure you can access it if you needed to.

QuestionI just purchased this laptop and it did not come with a protective screen cover or any plastic wrap around it. It has been a long time since I bought a new laptop, so is this normal or is it a sign that the box had been opened before and used?

- Answer It was $1199 for a day yesterday Sunday 7/24. I was ready to pull the trigger this morning but then BB switched it back to $1299. So they only had $1199 for a short day.

QuestionI have spent some money- trying to find the mating jack for the audio connector- no one at Best Buy knows what it is. I purchased two different ones- the latest being a 2.5mm to 3.5 mm adapter. It doesn't work either- appears to be slightly too small.
