• Press the F7 key on the keyboard to cycle through the various keyboard backlight brightnesses.

• Without holding function press the f7 key, you have three levels of brightness so you will see a symbol of a keyboard with light 1 ( touch ) is the lowest two is medium and three is the highest I recommend keeping it on 3 all the time it shuts off by itself after no use in about a minute. And comes right back on as soon as you even move a mouse or touch a key This is a fantastic laptop

• if the fn key (bottom left corner next to windows key) is not lit up then just press f7, if it is lit up then hold down fn+f7.

• i have a similar pc by Asus you have to hold f9 and then press the button f3 or f4, f3 if you want to make it weaker or f4 to make it stronger
