Yes, the Chromebook is a computer or a lpatop with a web or cloud-based OS that is fast, secured and easy to use and is becoming a popular choice because of these features. Internet security or antivirus software is integrated, no need to purchase the software or application separately. Besides, it is low-cost and lightweight, and supports thousands of popular computing applications, both in Chrome and Android, and Linux applications as well. Since it is a web base OS it does require a Google or Gmail account and an internet connection in order to use or operate it properly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To add to my previous post, it has Chrome built in and that allows normal desktop sites. It automatically added my bookmarks from previous browser. When I upgraded from my previous Chromebook to this one the OS automatically installed all my previous apps and other Chrome settings, passwords and other Chrome settings.

With future release cloud based graphics enhancements it will play most windows based games. Google even has productivity apps that are usable with windows applications.
