“The external Subwoofer? I didn't read anything about the free external Sonicmaster subwoofer that came with my laptop, so I was fairly surprised when I saw it when I unboxed it. My laptop is perfect but when I plug in the subwoofer in the 2.5mm audio port, there is no sound coming out from the subwoofer. I already contacted Asus support and installed the latest audio drivers. So I don't think it's my laptop, but the subwoofer itself. For people who bought this laptop and tested the subwoofer, can you confirm if it works for you?”

I thought mine did the same thing. It was not pushed in all the way into the jack. Once I did that it works find.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, my subwoofer works perfectly. Did you make sure you have it plugged in to the correct sub port in the upper left, and make sure it's plugged in fairly tight.

Please try again later.My subwoofer was a sweet, unexpected surprise and works very well but the short approx 1 1/2' connection cord shows silver wires where it enters the subwoofer housing. It is labeled to be a Sonic Master by ASUS. Sound is still really good with or without it.
