• has a optical DVD drive, it can be replaced with a bluray drive. I havent done it but ive seen someone else do it. DVD drive plays and writes. If you put a bluray drive in it depends on what you buy.

• Not a Bluray drive, just a standard DVD read/write optical drive. Be aware Windows 8.1 does not include software to play discs as part of standard OS (Microsoft cheapened out). There is free software available on internet.
