According to Crucial there is a 16 gig DDR4 2400 SODIMM kit available for this machine. Crucial CT8285636 However, the Asus web site states that 8gb is the max. Please note, Asus has used the model number of this machine (V230IC) for two different machines. There is a DDR3 machine and this one, which uses DDR4. I have an email out to both Crucial and to Asus to verify if the upgrade can be done. The motherboard in this machine is very similar to a laptop board. Most Asus laptops can have up to 16 or 32 gigs of ram. I would verify with Asus before purchasing an upgrade. I will try to update this forum if and when I get a response from either manufacturer. For every day computing, 8 gigs should be sufficient. A 16 gig upgrade really won't be very noticeable as far as performance unless you are using a memory intensive application.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
