Q: Is a DVD hard drive included? Can you remove files off my old computer?
A: The Asus 23" Touch-Screen All-In-One does come with a DVD drive included. You can have the Geek Squad remove filed off your old computer, either in home or at the store. An additional charge will apply.
Q: Is the RAM upgradeable or is 8GB the total RAM capacity?
A: According to Crucial there is a 16 gig DDR4 2400 SODIMM kit available for this machine. Crucial CT8285636 However, the Asus web site states that 8gb is the max. Please note, Asus has used the model number of this machine (V230IC) for two different machines. There is a DDR3 machine and this one, which uses DDR4. I have an email out to both Crucial and to Asus to verify if the upgrade can be done. The motherboard in this machine is very similar to a laptop board. Most Asus laptops can have up to 16 or 32 gigs of ram. I would verify with Asus before purchasing an upgrade. I will try to update this forum if and when I get a response from either manufacturer. For every day computing, 8 gigs should be sufficient. A 16 gig upgrade really won't be very noticeable as far as performance unless you are using a memory intensive application.

A: THe height of the PC including the stand is 14.3 inches.
Q: Can this be used with a wireless network? Wireless Printer, and mifi jetpack?
A: Yes, this can be used with a wireless netowkr.
Q: Does this computer has backup power. Like if the power goes out will the computer loose power too?
A: No back up power imbedded, the pic will shut down without a back up battery, I recommend highly.a back up system like APC or Cyberpower.
A: I had the same issue. The USB port next to the HDMI out stopped working. Move the receiver to a different USB port. Applying patches will correct the problem with the USB driver. You apply the patches via the Asus update app.
