• Screen is matte not glossy, rest of the plastics around the monitor are glossy black finish.

• I personally prefer a shiny screen, as the colors look smoother and brighter. And since I always play games in a darkened room, and cover up the windows a bit, this is what I'd prefer. As far as I can find, nobody makes a shiny game monitor :(
