You always want to make sure your graphics card drivers are updated, but there are no drivers for the monitor itself. Make sure the DVI port you're plugging into is on the PC's graphics card and not a port on the motherboard. If you're plugging into the motherboard's DVI you won't be able to get any video signal unless you physically remove your graphics card. If the DVI cable is plugged into the GPU you need to verify that the cable is working. If you've done both of these steps and still have issues you should contact your local Geek Squad to have them take a look at your setup.
