• it's an INTERNAL drive way too big to go in a laptop. besides no sata connection is going to be available. better choice is a usb external. they are really cheap and small. i keep mine in my laptop bag and plug in when needed

• I think the physical size of the ASUS DVD drive In the picture Would preclude it fitting in any laptop.That one would probably fit with Certain Desktop PCs. My ASUS DVD OPTICAL DRIVE looks like the picture you sent and It is similar to the one in my desktop. Ask a Geek Squad member at a BestBuy store to be positive before you order it. I say this because my hp Laptop DVD drive is much thinner in it's vertic a l body than the one pictured. Gary H. IOWA
