Can the stand be removed from this computer? null

There are no VESA mount holes on the outer shell. If you really want to open up the device, you can remove the mount from the chassis, but i wouldn't recommend it.

What I see is that is mounted in place inside the casing. It is mounted where you can tilt it slightly back or forward.
