“On the asus site it says there's a DVD/CD drive included however here it says there is none. Is there an actual optical drive in this laptop? Should be on the right side.”

The ASUS Support site shows it is an option. The laptop sold at BestBuy doesn't come with a DVD/CC drive, and was not advertised as having one.
