• A:Answer Mine was a 1TB solid state and really fast. I did a comparison with an identical NEW machine. The start up time for mine was 7 seconds and the other standard hard drive was over a minute where I stopped counting. My son sat there and laughed as he didn't understand my question to the sales guy until I showed him and the sales guy sat there speechless. Much faster react time to all requests on this machine.
