Unlike all other mid-high end z490 motherboards, this one only offers pcie4 to the 16x gpu slot (Assuming you have a rocket lake cpu (11th gen)). Even though pcie4 nvme slots are really the primary benefit of pcie4 at this time, ASUS beat around the bush and decieved us into thinking they would be enabling full pcie4 support in this board with rocket lake's release (as MSI, Gigabyte, and others have done). You really let us down, ASUS.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn't support 4.0 now, but it has the needed chip on the Motherboard for 4.0. So when you put a 11th, Gen, CPU on it with a New Firmware Update it will support PCie 4.0. Intel doesn't want to let all this on right now and be responsible for telling this now.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Currently, no; after the release of Intel's 11th gen CPUs? honestly only Asus knows (I think) - unlike MSI Gigabyte and ASROCK who all stipulated when they released their z490 series that theirs would be compatible (via Bios update) Asus was silent - their marketing materials say nothing and I'm not "geek" enough to know if there are actual hardware requirements for PCiE slots that they would have needed to take into account for a bios update to even make a difference, so...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, this model does not have pcie 4 capabilities.
