• Yes! This is just your router. The modem is what gets the internet in your home. The router splits it so everyone can use at the same time.

• Yes, this is a router, which you'd connect to your modem (cable or DSL or whatever) through Ethernet, and then connect things to it through Ethernet and Wifi.
