  • QuestionWill this new laptop Help with video AI upscaling faster Width topaz video and hit Pew.

    Asked by Bogeyman38.

    • Answer If said soft wear supports the NPU then yes as the NPU is extremely powerful in this device, but remember that NPU's have basically no use still as many of these apps that say "ai" run the "ai" calculations on a machine in the cloud some were. the ai chip set is really only for future proofing. but the gpu may be responsible for the regular up scaling.

  • QuestionMight the RAM be upgraded, or is it soldered? Also, Could the harddrive be upgraded, if so, what is the maximum amount that will be supported?

    Asked by ia24601.

    • Answer You’re not going to want an answer from that particular Asus rep, who seemingly flunked math. I did watch a couple good YouTube videos on all the new models announced (or in some cases about to be announced). Indeed they all have soldered RAM. The 7500 MHz RAM is just too fast to be socketed. Also, although Asus does make 64 GB versions of some models, so far Best Buy has decided not to stock them, They don’t wanna be stuck with laptops with too much memory that nobody buys, so instead they’ll be stuck with laptops with too little (non-upgradeable) memory that nobody buys. One feature worth noting on this model is that it is a 2-in-1 model with 360 degree rotating hinge. By contrast the P16 I guess is not 360 degrees (after some earlier propaganda that suggested it was). Later there will be a PZ13 that is more like an iMac with detachable keyboard, but that one will have a Qualcom CPU - competing against M4 iMac I guess.
