Q: QuestionIs this a good lap top for college? Need to buy a laptop for my daughter and haven't had to purchase one in 10 years. Everything has changed so much, I really don't know what is best to get for her.

• A:Answer This laptop has solid build quality being all aluminum. Its decently thin and light too. Its also very fast while still being efficient. At $650 on sale there is no better school laptop in my opinion.

• A:Answer A 3rd party Hardcase can be bought separately. the best protection would be to purchase a case with padding to absorb any shock from most types of damage.

• A:Answer Haven't used the Vivobook but this laptop has a Ryzen 7 4700U. So it should be marginally faster than the 4500U. It also has the NVIDIA MX350. This laptop has a 1920x1080 IPS touch screen display. The display is glossy and covered in glass which does increase the weight of the computer. The colors are very good and the AMD Radeon app has lots of room for color customization.

Q: QuestionCan the battery be upgraded to a longer lasting one? I am getting 5-6 hours of use on the battery. I use one program called Five/9 that uses very little resources and have set all options for longer battery life. Any suggestions?
