It comes with a pretty robust kickstand. If you plan on taking notes on a flat surface it lays flat and you shouldn’t have too much of an issue, but it was not design to run while laying flat because you will block the cooling.

My guess is it might wobble if you want to lay it flat. So it might be better to use the stand and lean it back as far as it will go to prevent that.
