Yep, if the laptop is capable of delivering the frames to the monitor, it will drive a monitor at the maximum frame rate. I've used mine to deliver 144 fps to a 1440p Dell Gaming Monitor on Rogue Legacy 2.

Please check to see which port the external monitor supports to have an idea of what the display will be like. The tablet's fps will not increase above its supported rate.
