A:AnswerThis will be the cheapest option to do that. It will give the full 65w to the ROG Ally as well. You can get another after market one on Amazon. If you do I would go Anker but would cost more and also need a 100w charger to power the dongle. This is a all in one. Hope I helped.
A:AnswerI unfortunately don't have an Android phone to try this, but I do have a Switch OLED and iPad Pro. HDMI out does not work for either device. Charging does work fine, however.
A:AnswerThe issue with connecting a USB hub to the USB port is two-fold: 1) you're relying on whatever excess power is left from charging the Ally to also power the hub unless your hub has a separate wall plug, and 2) the usb controller may not be good enough to power multiple peripherals at once. You can take your chances, but I recommend Bluetooth peripherals if at all possible. Otherwise, you can also wait for third party or even first party (Please, ASUS?) dock options that generally come with multiple usb ports as well as HDMI and other ports. Hope that helps!
A:AnswerIt should work with any device rated for 65 watts power output and below. That would include the Legion Go. As for the HDMI video out, it should workbas well since the device is HDMI 2.0 compliant which should give you 4k 60fps.
A:AnswerYes, but don’t use the external if you aren’t play games on it, it will keep disconnecting and reconnecting the power to the ally, if you are actively using the external you will have no issues
A:AnswerHas to be purchased separately. But still the cheapest option to give the Ally full power while hooked to a 4k tv/monitor and have the USB A for a mouse/keyboard
A:AnswerI frequently run mine while charging and I haven't had any problems. I have also plugged a monitor, keyboard and mouse into my charger while charging my ROG Ally and ran ran in like a desktop. No issues so far.
A:AnswerI'm not sure what type of power the Galaxy Book series requires, however it generates 65 watts of power. The connection between the charger and the Ally is a standard USB-C cable so the Galaxy would also need to have a USB-C interface for charging.
A:AnswerI'm not sure but I don't see why not. Since it's running Windows 11 Home it should be able to work like that. I plugged a 4-port powered USB hub into mine and I run a Thrustmaster Joystick, an Elgato Stream Deck XL, and an Elgato Stream Deck Plus off of mine. As far as the Ally was concerned Windows recognized all the devices just like it does on a PC.
A:AnswerDouble-check your HDMI connection if that looks good, then go to the Windows Settings and check the sound settings there. You should have a choice of devices to select for sound output. So you would switch it there just like you would if you had different sound devices on an normal PC.
