QuestionI'm concerned about the processor's speed.I looked at the processor's speed - base 2.0 GHz and the max with turbo is 3.2 GHz. Will the computer stutter when playing more intensive games, like Fallout 4, Just Cause 3, Witcher 3, or GTA V?

- Answer There -may- be an m.2 PCIe slot on this motherboard, but it is unconfirmed. I would actually recommend just replacing the slow 5400rpm on this with a new SSD.

- Answer I think the main difference is the build and weight. The g501 is about 1lb lighter and has a full aluminum casing.

- Answer No, this is a cheaper Best Buy model. It does not include those extras. Also, it does not include Asus's special 'international warranty' that includes accidental damage protection, unfortunately.

QuestionInstalled Memory and Memory Capacity?I see on the Best Buy website that there is 8 GB of DDR3 RAM installed on this particular model sku of the G501, and in the detailed specifications list on the Best Buy website it says that the memory is expandable to 16 GB. Is this information correct? Can the laptop memory be upgraded to 16 GB?

- Answer Yes it can but the problem is that 4GB is soldered onto the motherboard and is not removable. There is one RAM slot that currently has 4GB of RAM on it. So really the most you can do is swap out the 4GB stick with an 8GB stick to give you 12GB RAM. Unless they make 12GB sticks for laptops which i hven't seen.

- Answer This particular model unit comes with 1TB 5400RPM hard drive. Please be advised that G501JW model unit supports SATAIII/PCIe x4 SSD interface.

Questionhow is this computer for moderate gaming like cs:go and others

- Answer Haven't tried CS:GO, but this has been able to run other games of mine (Skyrim, GTA IV, Saints Row 4, ect) on high settings, so I"d say it's pretty good for gaming. :)
