You can adjust the fan via Armory Crate.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to go into the BIOS to adjust the fan curve. However, The case itself has horrible cooling and airflow. Best bet is to buy a better case and move everything over if your husband knows how to do that. If not, then your other best bet is to get 2 more fans and zip tie them to the front of the PC case inside to get more air moving in the case. If moving parts to a new case is not the best option, then buy this CPU cooler with a a 2nd 92mm fan to do a push/pull configuration. One fan pushing air through the cooler while the other is pulling that air through the cooler and out of the rear exhaust fan. The cpu cooler you want to buy is the Noctua NH-U9S. Noctua also has 92mm fans so you can search for that on amazon. But, just upgrading the CPU fan alone is better than what it currently has. Just remember to apply thermal paste. Pea sized will be enough.
