“So if I swap out the CPU cooler with a better one, will this void the warranty? At what point is something considered "modifying"? I would like to add and upgrade things as far as case fans, and RAM sticks etc. But would like to keep my warranty as well”

ASUS will still honor warranty on original parts as long as no custome- induce or physical damage will occur during the upgrade process. ASUS doesn't provide hardware customization or upgrade support.
