The GPU is expected to last 3-5 years if you dont push it beyond its limits for its whole life. That being said, the GPU will most likely be the first thing you HAVE TO replace in the future. The better you take care of your PC, the longer itll last. There is no set time. Think about it, old pcs still work, although they're usually slower compared to new upgraded PCs.
