“Is the keyboard backlit? This question has been asked/answered twice however one says yes it is, the other says no its not backlit. So which is it?”

Yes it's backlit. There's two buttons one left hand side where you can control the brightness
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Had to check with my wife to answer this question because the laptop is hers. “Yes it is backlit but unfortunately it’s not very bright and only shows one color, unlike my Alienware” Hope this helps.

Please try again later.Yes, it's backlit but it requires the Asus software driver to be installed first before it works if it's not loaded for some reason? the backlit operation is NOT controlled via the BIOS but as I mentioned above the Asus software driver must be loaded for it work, as to be controlled via the keyboard; press FN + F3 (dim/turn off) or F4 (turn on/increase backlit brightness)
